. You will be involved in performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting key systems including electrical, hydraulic, brake, and engine systems, and addressing urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to significantly reduce equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot issues in electrical, hydraulic, brake, and engine systems using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Accurately complete repair orders and maintain meticulous records of parts used and maintenance performed.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, safety, and company standards throughout your work.
• Respond promptly to road-call and emergency repair situations as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with operations teams to prioritize repairs and ensure equipment availability.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist in identifying root causes of recurring mechanical problems for continuous improvement.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new equipment, tools, and safety practices.
Required Skills
• Expertise in diesel engine repair.
• Knowledge of gas engine repair.
• Proficient in brake systems maintenance.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics.
• Strong background in preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with vehicle HVAC systems.
• Welding and fabrication capabilities.
