Role Overview This position involves performing safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. Responsibilities include conducting preventive inspections, annual and legal compliance checks, diagnosing malfunctions, and executing repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulic components. The role requires documenting work, developing proficiency with diagnostic software, and performing electrical and welding tasks as needed. Qualifications & Skills Candidates should have medium/heavy-duty truck technical training, a high school diploma or GED, and 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience or equivalent education. Certifications such as annual inspector, brake inspector, and HVAC are preferred. Skills include strong diagnostic and repair expertise, proficiency with computer software, electrical systems, welding, and knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations. Must have own tools, a valid driver’s license, and physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in diverse environments. Key Duties Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize fleet safety and reliability. Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engines, electrical, brakes, and hydraulic components. Complete documentation and follow safety and regulatory standards. Utilize diagnostic tools and perform electrical and welding repairs as needed. Work Environment & Physical Demands Work involves outdoor, indoor, and confined space conditions, with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures. Physical tasks include standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 100 lbs, requiring dexterity, vision, and endurance in a non-traditional schedule.
