Job Summary Responsible for maintaining safe, reliable, and cost-efficient fleet vehicles through quality preventive inspections and repairs. Performs expert diagnosis and repairs to prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and enhance fleet reliability. Key Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on all fleet equipment within scheduled tolerances. Complete annual and regulatory inspections according to legal standards. Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, HVAC, and lift-gates. Address driver reports promptly and document all work accurately. Utilize diagnostic software, electrical meters, and perform electrical and welding repairs as needed. Maintain safety standards and follow procedures for quality work. Qualifications & Skills Technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks and a high school diploma or GED. Experience in fleet maintenance with a valid driver’s license. Certifications such as Annual Inspector, Brake Inspector, and HVAC; ASE certifications preferred. Proficient in diagnostic software, electrical testing, welding, and troubleshooting all vehicle systems. Strong physical dexterity, ability to handle heavy lifting, and operate various equipment. Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Physical & Work Environment Ability to work in diverse conditions, including outdoor, confined spaces, and exposure to fumes or noise. Physical endurance to lift up to 100 lbs, climb, and perform repetitive tasks. Work may involve non-traditional hours, travel, and working in varying environmental conditions.
