Job Summary Provides safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicle maintenance by performing preventive inspections, quality repairs, and expert diagnostics to minimize breakdowns, reduce downtime, and enhance fleet reliability. Responsibilities Conducts inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment within planned timeframes. Performs annual and regulatory inspections on all fleet assets, ensuring compliance with legal standards. Diagnoses malfunctions and performs repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and more, adhering to manufacturer specifications. Addresses driver repair reports promptly and documents all work performed. Develops proficiency with diagnostic software, electrical testing, welding, and electrical repairs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks preferred. 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience or equivalent education and experience. Valid driver’s license. Certifications including Annual Inspector, Brake Inspector, and HVAC; ASE certifications are a plus. Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, electrical testing, and basic welding. Good computer skills and familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Excellent manual dexterity, physical strength, and ability to operate various equipment. Physical & Work Environment Requires physical activities including lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, bending, and repetitive motions. Work may involve exposure to outdoor elements, noise, fumes, and confined spaces. Non-traditional hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
