Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II

Role Overview: This position involves performing safe, reliable, and cost-effective vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure fleet durability and safety. Responsibilities: Conduct preventive maintenance, annual inspections, and diagnostics on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment, including engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Address driver-reported issues promptly, document all work, and develop proficiency in computer programs and electrical testing. Perform electrical repairs and welding as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Require medium/heavy-duty truck training, a high school diploma or GED, and 2-3 years of fleet maintenance experience. Must hold valid driver’s license, annual inspector and brake certifications, and ASE or HVAC certifications are preferred. Must have strong diagnostic, electrical, welding, and safety knowledge, along with proficiency in computer diagnostics. Strong manual dexterity, vision, and physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs are essential. Work Environment: Exposure to various outdoor and indoor conditions, including noise, fumes, and confined spaces. Physical demands include standing, climbing, bending, and lifting. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and travel as needed is required.
