Job Summary Responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet vehicles through performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert diagnostics to prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and enhance overall fleet reliability. Key Responsibilities Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance within scheduled timeframes to maximize safety and efficiency. Perform annual FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment, adhering to legal and regulatory standards. Diagnose malfunctions and execute repairs on various systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, HVAC, and lift-gates. Address driver-reported issues efficiently, document all work on work orders, and develop proficiency in diagnostic software and electrical testing. Complete electrical repairs, welding, and control system work as needed. Qualifications & Skills Technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks and a high school diploma or GED. At least 3 years of fleet maintenance experience or 2-year schooling plus 1-year experience. Valid driver’s license, certifications in inspections, brakes, HVAC, and ASE (preferred). Proficiency in diagnostic tools, electrical systems, welding, and computer skills. Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Strong dexterity, physical stamina, and ability to operate various equipment. Physical & Work Environment Regularly require sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 100 lbs, and working in diverse conditions, including outdoors and confined spaces. Exposure to varying weather, noise, fumes, and mechanical hazards. Work may include non-traditional hours, travel, and working in high or precarious environments.
