Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Role Overview: Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel semi-trucks and trailers, ensuring safety compliance and regulatory adherence. Key Responsibilities Assess and follow preventive maintenance schedules for equipment. Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize work orders and identify issues. Utilize maintenance systems for accurate documentation of repairs. Perform repairs on tractors and trailers, including DOT inspections, brake systems, electrical components, suspension, and refrigeration systems. Maintain service records and ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent (GED). 3-5 years of related maintenance experience. Valid Driver’s License; ability to provide essential mechanic tools. Willingness to complete SpartanNash safety and driving certifications. Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work in warehouse conditions, and handle repetitive tasks. Physical & Work Environment: Requires standing, walking, crouching, and lifting in a moderate to high noise warehouse setting. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, with potential travel.
