DevSecOps Engineer

Job Description Job Description: Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. Experience developing micro services for an AWS cloud environment. Experience developing and managing a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipeline. Experience designing and developing software solutions using Microsoft products (e.g., C#, ASP .NET, MVC, Visual Studio) Experience designing and developing web applications using javascript frameworks/APIs (e.g., REACT framework, knockout JS, MVC, Cesium) Experience designing and developing enterprise solutions that leverage web services (e.g., SOAP and/or Restful) to communicate with external systems. Experience designing and implementing database solutions to support software applications. Experience developing unit tests. Experience developing test automation software , Required Skills The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for new and existing development environments. Deployment of tools, infrastructure security, monitoring, and installation/configuration of custom developed applications. The DevSecOps Engineer plays a key role in establishing secure workflows and patterns for application lifecycle management. This role is focused on solution development for a Classified Linux DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on Amazon Web Service AWS Kubernetes Cluster environment. Proficiency with git and version control systems (Github, GitLab) in a team setting. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and container security. Experience designing infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform. Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar). Experience with Linux administration and hardening. Knowledge of DevSecOps processes and software supply chain security. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and SDLC promotion strategies. Knowledge of AWS secrets management platforms. Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
