What You’ll Actually Do

This isn’t sitting behind a desk all day. As a Deputy Sheriff, you’ll rotate through different assignments so your job stays interesting, challenging, and rewarding.

You’ll:

• Keep people safe inside the jail and courts
• Process and classify inmates
• Maintain order in courtrooms as a bailiff
• Transport inmates securely
• Use tech systems, radios, cameras, and databases
• Respond to emergencies and support your team
• Take part in community programs and outreach
• Learn real law enforcement skills that open doors for the future
