Department Operations Manager (FOH or BOH) Chick-fil-A Detroit – First National Building Chick-fil-A Detroit – First National Building is seeking a Department Operations Manager to lead either the Front of House (FOH) or Back of House (BOH) department in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. This leader will play a key role in developing people, driving operational excellence, and delivering remarkable guest experiences. We are hiring for two separate positions — FOH Department Operations Manager and BOH Department Operations Manager. The role you are considered for will be determined based on your experience, strengths, and leadership background. The Role As a Department Operations Manager, you will take ownership of your department’s daily performance, ensuring your area of the restaurant operates with excellence, consistency, and care. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead daily FOH or BOH operations with a focus on accuracy, speed, quality, and safety Maintain Chick-fil-A brand standards in hospitality, food safety, cleanliness, and professionalism Ensure strong shift execution and readiness across your department Team Development Recruit, train, coach, and mentor team members and shift leaders Build a culture of ownership, teamwork, and genuine hospitality Support performance management and ongoing development Business Stewardship Manage labor efficiency, productivity, and staffing levels Support inventory management, waste control, and cost stewardship Execute systems that drive consistency and operational excellence Culture & Guest Experience Model Chick-fil-A’s values through servant leadership Champion a positive, supportive work environment Ensure guests experience fast, friendly, and genuinely caring service What We’re Looking For 3–5+ years of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality Experience leading either a kitchen team (BOH) or a guest-facing service team (FOH) Proven ability to lead in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments Strong communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills Solid understanding of labor management and operational systems A passion for hospitality and developing people Why Join Us?
