Department Manager

Responsibilities Accountable for safety of the position and those reporting to it Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals Maintains time and production records Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related is preferred 5+ years Manufacturing Leadership experience The ability to work independently and make decisions but also work together in a team environment Advanced PC Skills in Microsoft Applications, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
