Clear Lakes Dental is opening a brand new clinic in Burnsville, MN June 2026 and are looking for an amazing Dental Operations Manager (ideally also a Licensed Dental Assistant) to join our amazing team!

Position Title: Dental Operations Manager (DOM) – Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA)

Status: Full-Time – Non-Exempt Hourly Professional

Reports To: Regional DOM / Owner Dentist


Job Overview

Dental Office Manager (DOM) is responsible for overseeing the operation of a dental office/clinic to give patients a good experience and setting standards for clinic employees. Their duties include: overseeing the clinical and clerical team, managing the office expenses and leading a team of office staff to promote a well-organized and efficient practice, so that Dentists, Dental Therapists, Hygienists, and Assistants can focus on patient care. They provide exceptional customer service to all patients and team members.

In addition to management responsibilities, this role must maintain an active Minnesota Dental Assistant License and be willing to assist with Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) duties as needed to support clinic flow, patient care, and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan/map out dental office operations to ensure excellent patient service and support.
  • Address any patient concerns.
  • Hire and supervise newly added staff.
  • Ensure that new hires are being trained by Leads according to position.
  • Lead a team of ADOMs in providing support to the clinic operations. This includes assisting in the completion of the daily/weekly/monthly checklists to ensure the clinic is operating at top efficiency.
  • Hold regularly scheduled meetings for both the clinical and management team members.
  • Evaluate employee performance, promotion, termination, and retention protocols.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
  • Ensure appointment cancellations and last-minute appointment requests are properly dealt with.
  • Efficiently review patient insurance documents to determine the procedures that will be covered in addition to required deductibles.
  • Oversee daily office activities and provide support and assistance to the dental staff when required.
  • Oversee payment collections from patients and contact insurance offices for payment settlements.
  • Perform timely payroll processing and organize employee records.
  • Perform Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) duties and provide clinical support as needed to maintain efficient clinic operations and patient care flow.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Secondary education preferred.
  • Certification or Degree from an accredited Dental Assistant program required.
  • Active Minnesota Dental Assistant License required.
  • CPR certified.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a dental office environment preferred, including experience in leadership, dental assisting, front desk, billing, or patient care coordination.
  • Proven dedication to providing high-quality, comprehensive dental care and patient service.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, procedures, and dental office operations.
  • Ability to multitask and transition between operational and clinical responsibilities.
  • Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Good computer and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Well-organized, reliable, and adaptable.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong is a plus.

Hours

8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST — with a 1-hour lunch break at 1:00 p.m.

Compensation: 

$30-$35/hr
