Demand Planning Manager

Mike Cox of Robert Half in Los Angeles is currently recruiting a newly created Manager, Demand Planning for a high growth, apparel company in Los Angeles. The Manager, Demand Planning will report directly to the CFO and provide support to the Finance team. The Manager, Demand Planning will be highly analytical and commercially minded indivdiual to help the company translate market insights into a thoughtful demand plan that supports healthy inventory and sustainable growth. You will partner closely with Merchandising, Buying, Product Development, Sales, and Operations to ensure the Company is buying the right product, in the right quantities, at the right time. What you have to bring 4–7+ years of experience in demand planning, merchandise planning, inventory planning, or a related function within apparel, fashion, activewear, or consumer Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory management, and merchandise planning principles Highly analytical with strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets Commercially minded with a strong understanding of how product, customer behavior, seasonality, and sales trends influence demand Able to balance data-driven analysis with good business judgment and intuition Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing partners without direct authority Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with a willingness to build and improve processes rather than simply inherit them Experience with planning/forecasting systems, ERP, BI, or inventory management tools preferred Experience within a growing, founder-led, drop based apparel business, or digitally native brand is a plus
