Who We Are
At Just Ingredients – a health and wellness e-commerce company – we believe that nourishing your body with real ingredients is essential for living a healthy and fulfilling life. That's why our products are made using carefully selected, whole-food ingredients. And our people are just as real as our ingredients – authentic, collaborative, and dedicated to fostering a workplace that inspires individuals and teams to reach their full potential.
About the Team
Our Supply Chain team makes sure the right products are in the right place at the right time across every channel – DTC, wholesale, and retail. The CPG Demand Planner leads the demand side of our S&OP process, partnering closely with CPFR, Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning to turn data and commercial insight into one plan the whole business can act on.
What We Are Looking For
We're looking for an analytical Demand Planner who owns the all-channel SKU forecast for assigned categories and gets energy from making it better every month. You turn statistical baselines, customer data, and commercial plans into a single consensus demand plan, and you can explain the story behind the numbers to Sales and Finance. When a forecast misses, you dig into why, fix the root cause, and build a stronger plan next cycle. You're detail-oriented, comfortable influencing with data, and motivated by measurable improvements in accuracy and bias.
What You'll Do
Forecasting
- Build and maintain the all-channel SKU forecast for assigned categories, starting from a statistical baseline.
- Incorporate customer data – retailer inventory, SPINS, and customer order forecasts – into the baseline forecast.
- Measure promotional lift and post-event performance to sharpen future baseline and event forecasts.
S&OP & Consensus Planning
- Lead the demand side of S&OP, building the consensus demand plan with inputs from the CPFR Analyst and Sales Account Managers.
- Reconcile the consensus plan to Finance's budget, highlighting gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Hand off the consensus forecast to Supply Planning and flag risks in the weekly demand–supply sync.
Product Lifecycle & Inventory Risk
- Build new item launch forecasts using the historical performance of comparable items.
- Develop discontinuation and phase-out plans that minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Manage slow-moving SKUs with reorder points and minimums rather than detailed forecasts, and call out estimated excess inventory risk.
Forecast Performance
- Own forecast accuracy (WMAPE or similar) and bias KPIs for assigned categories.
- Root-cause the most impactful forecast errors each month and drive corrections through S&OP.
- Continuously improve forecasting methods, tools, and processes as the business scales.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Medical, Dental, Life Insurance
- 401K with company matching
- 4 weeks accrued PTO
- Employee discounts
- Fast-paced environment
- Purposeful mission for health and wellness
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in CPG demand planning or forecasting; supplements, sports nutrition, or food preferred.
- Hands-on experience with statistical forecasting, S&OP, and forecast accuracy and bias metrics.
- Experience working with retailer and syndicated data such as SPINS and retailer inventory reports.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (required).
- Experience with Modus or a similar demand planning tool preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Confidence influencing Sales and Finance with data, and clearly communicating risks and trade-offs.
- A curious, problem-solving mindset – you want to know why a forecast missed and how to fix it.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across many SKUs and channels.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
