CumminsJob Summary: Use analytical, marketing, and sales data to effectively estimate future product demands for a site. Ensure all demand planning activities/processes including developing forecast models are completed on time. Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to execute forecast adjustments. Key Responsibilities: Develop effective forecast models for a site based on industry trends, demand patterns and knowledge of business, customers, markets and products. Provide insight by comparing statistics-based forecast to consensus forecast. Support risk assessments and mitigation activities for a site. Provide Forecast Error assumptions to Inventory Optimization team and also provide / ensure alignment on demand assumptions into the plan. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy for a site. Communicate forecast estimations to leadership and other stakeholders. Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies. Conduct monthly forecast maintenance for a site. Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner. Interpret, analyze and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators. Materials Planning System Utilization - Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations. Materials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others. Material Planning - Uses advanced tools (e.g. Advanced Planning Command Centre, Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboards etc.) to take a decision related to parts availability, inventory optimization and root cause analysis. Network Master Supply Planning - Uses statistical analysis and collaborates with other disciplines to provide a long term view of customers demand, and ensures the supply plan is aligned with the demand plan; balances supply and demand in a manner that achieves the financial and service objectives, while stabilizing the supply chain and optimizing the supply chain tensions. Analysis and Troubleshooting - Extracts, transforms, models, interprets, and presents planning data with the goal of mining useful information, troubleshooting, suggesting conclusions, and supporting value creating decision making.
