Delivery Truck Driver – 26-Foot Box Truck Operator Company: Lerezo Transportation Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (as available) Location: Omaha, Nebraska Position: Delivery Truck Driver Payment: $4,000 per month Job Summary Lerezo Transportation is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and professional Delivery Truck Driver to operate a 26-foot box truck and transport freight to designated delivery locations. The ideal candidate must be responsible, communicate effectively with dispatch, follow company policies, and ensure that deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time. The ideal candidate must follow the company hours of service compliance policy. This policy says the driver is not allowed to drive more than 11 hours in one day. The driver must be willing to participate in company training, follow Electronic Logging Device (ELD) requirements, and maintain professional relationships with customers, dispatchers, and management. Driver Responsibilities and Duties 1. Safe Driving and Vehicle Operation Safely operate a 26-foot box truck while transporting freight. Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations applicable to the operation, and company safety policies. Practice defensive driving and maintain awareness of road and weather conditions. Operate the vehicle responsibly and report accidents, unsafe conditions, or mechanical problems immediately. 2. Daily Vehicle Inspections Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required. Perform inspections with the manager and dispatcher when instructed. Conduct additional vehicle checks during the workday as necessary. Report defects, maintenance concerns, and safety issues promptly. 3. Loading, Unloading, and Training Participate in company training for loading, unloading, freight handling, and delivery procedures. Learn to use a pallet jack safely and correctly. Follow proper procedures for securing freight and preventing damage during transportation. Successfully complete required training and receive authorization from the company before independently operating a planned delivery route. 4. Customer Service and Delivery Documentation Communicate professionally with customers at pickup and delivery locations. Respond to customer questions and handle delivery issues, returns, and related concerns according to company procedures. Complete delivery paperwork, proof of delivery, and other required documentation accurately. Protect customer satisfaction and represent Lerezo Transportation professionally at all times. 5. ELD and Hours-of-Service Compliance Use the company’s Electronic Logging Device (ELD) system as required. Accurately record driving time, on-duty activities, and other required information. Follow applicable hours-of-service regulations and company ELD policies. Report log-in problems, log discrepancies, and compliance concerns to the dispatcher or manager promptly. 6. Route Planning and Navigation Follow assigned delivery routes using GPS and route-planning software. Review delivery instructions, addresses, schedules, and special requirements before departure. Communicate delays, road closures, navigation problems, and unexpected delivery issues to dispatch as soon as possible. Coordinate with dispatch to adjust routes when necessary and keep deliveries on schedule whenever safely and legally possible. 7. Communication and Performance Maintain consistent communication with the dispatcher throughout the workday, including required pickup, departure, arrival, delay, and delivery updates. Follow dispatch instructions and company procedures. Provide timely updates about delivery progress and any problems affecting the schedule. Demonstrate reliability, accountability, professionalism, and safe driving practices. Qualifications and Requirements Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle and operation.
