• The route delivery driver / Merchandiser is the face of the company and must project a professional, approachable, and positive image of the company at all times. The main responsibility is to build & maintain excellent client relationships so you are in-tune with the needs of the customer. Customer service & client satisfaction is our #1 responsibility so we can add and maintain our growing client base.
• This position plays a HUGE role in client retention so we want an employee who is looking for a career and not just a job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Efficient route management between client accounts.
• Coffee equipment cleaning and maintenance upon each visit (if the equipment isn't clean our coffee brand is on the line so we are serious about maintaining our organization standards).
• Customer check-ins to make sure client's needs are being met. The rep should be able to read body language and have excellent listening skills to effectively resolve client complaints.
• When necessary, reports defective equipment to our service technicians
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or pulling carts up to 150 pounds on a regular basis.
• Prior to beginning each day’s route, ensure that the work provided vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed for the day.
• Organize merchandise and / sales promotion displays to effectively move drinks and snacks we provide for our pantries.
• Accountable for all receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, or collected product.
• Ability to conduct inventory reconciliation in accordance with America's Breakroom procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; preform pre & post trip vehicle inspections. *Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned without complaint. We are a small business so we wear many hats. All employees are expected to help out where needed with a positive attitude.
• 3 years driving experience required.
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Able to work independently, responsible for route, work unsupervised 50% of the work day.
