Delivery Lead / Driver & Dispatcher

An experienced delivery driver who enjoys keeping a team organized? Take the next step with Dr. Delphinium. We’re hiring a dependable, customer-focused Delivery Lead to help deliver flowers, gifts, and exceptional service throughout the Dallas area. This is a hands-on role: you’ll make deliveries, help drivers succeed, and step into dispatch when the Delivery Manager needs support or is away. You’ll report to the Delivery Manager and work alongside another lead to keep daily operations running smoothly. Whether you’re delivering birthday flowers, coordinating a time-sensitive order, or helping a new driver learn the job, your work helps people connect and celebrate important moments. What you’ll do Deliver with care Safely deliver floral arrangements and gifts, protecting their quality during loading, transport, and delivery. Follow efficient routes, meet delivery deadlines, and follow customer and property-specific instructions. Provide friendly, professional service and accurately document completed deliveries. Complete daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep vehicles clean. Help keep the team moving Dispatch drivers when assigned, including when the Delivery Manager needs help or is off. Prepare delivery routes, check orders for readiness, and adjust assignments as new orders or changes come in. Monitor delivery progress and help resolve delays, address questions, and other delivery issues. Communicate with drivers, floral designers, client relations, events, and retail teams so everyone has the information they need. Lead by example Help train new drivers on delivery procedures, product handling, safety, and customer service. Set a dependable, professional example and reinforce department standards. Handle routine operating decisions during assigned coverage and escalate issues when needed. Support daily checklists, vehicle maintenance coordination, and other department tasks. Participate in rotating weekday closing shifts and weekend supervisory coverage. What you’ll bring At least two years of delivery experience. A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills. The ability to stay calm, prioritize, and make practical decisions when plans change. Dependability, punctuality, and a willingness to help teammates. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Availability for weekends, holidays, and additional flexibility during peak floral holidays and unexpected staffing needs. Willingness to complete a background check and drug screening and follow our tobacco-free workplace policy. Preferred: At least one year of supervisory or team lead experience. Experience dispatching, planning routes, or training delivery drivers is especially helpful. What we offer Starting pay of $18-$20 per hour. Health, dental, and vision insurance.
