Delivery Driver/Yard Attendant

We are hiring a Full Time local delivery driver and yard attendant. You will be driving a single axle truck making deliveries to residential sites. The right candidate will have a clean driving history. A CDL is not required. This position requires someone who is well presented, well spoken, and able to communicate with customers and dispatchers in a professional manner. Saturday shifts are required. Daily delivery routes begin and end in at the Easley location. When not making deliveries, you will be working at the Easley retail location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assist customers with product selection, load customer orders and trucks, schedule deliveries, process payments, maintain inventory levels, calculate daily deposits, clean and maintain the office/yard area, and provide exceptional customer service. Spanish speaking is a plus. Candidate MUST have reliable transportation and be on time every day. Head-Lee Landscape Materials Inc is an expanding business, with 4 locations. Responsibilities: Transport goods from our material yards to our customer locations Organize and verify delivery instructions Meet delivery schedules as assigned Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Inspect truck for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Comply with truck driving rules & regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking & break periods) as well as with company policies & procedures Timely and accurately report defects, accidents or violations Assist with retail sales using the point of sale system Loading customer vehicles Maintain a clean yard/office area Provide exceptional customer service This position does not require over the road travel Skills/Requirements: Valid drivers license Must have experience with loading equipment (wheel loader, tractor, etc.) or be willing to learn Proven work experience as a delivery driver Ability to drive extended hours, as needed, on a daily basis Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Store Hours: Monday - Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday: CLOSED Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
