Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers. Load, unload, and organize materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and maintain safe driving practices. Follow designated routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize delivery efficiency while adhering to traffic laws. Assist with warehouse operations including inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Load and unload shipments carefully, practicing safe lifting techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or warehouse worker with knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate a box truck or van; experience with manual transmission is preferred. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks. Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper manual handling practices; familiarity with safe lifting techniques is essential. Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, weight handling in the workplace, and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles. Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities during deliveries. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation.
