Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker
SMITH NOVELTY CO.Job Summary As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker, you’ll keep orders moving from the warehouse to customers. You’ll prepare, load, and unload materials, then complete deliveries by van or box truck, commercial truck, or personal vehicle as assigned. This hands-on role combines warehouse operations, route driving, and customer service. Your impact: Accurate, safe deliveries help customers receive their orders as expected while keeping warehouse operations organized. Duties Pick, stage, load, and unload orders; verify items and secure cargo before departure. Drive assigned routes and make deliveries using a van, box truck, commercial truck, or personal vehicle as authorized. Follow traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements; use mobile devices for delivery instructions and records. Provide courteous customer service, confirm delivery details, and report delays or order issues. Support warehouse operations through moving, manual handling, and material handling equipment operation, including pallet jack use. Qualifications Delivery driver, courier, van driver, or warehouse experience is preferred; commercial driving and commercial truck driving experience are valued. Able to drive safely, follow routes, and operate a manual transmission when required. Able to load and unload materials and perform heavy lifting using safe lifting practices; understand workplace weight-handling procedures. Familiarity with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment is preferred. Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and professional customer service.
