Delivery Driver/Warehouse Personnel

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Be appropriately dressed for the elements (Wearing appropriate PPE as required) Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment Operate, navigate and drive all company fleet vehicles in a safe, efficient manner following the rules of the road set by government legislation Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency while on the road Read work orders or receive oral instructions for work assignments Participate in the loading and/or unloading of company fleet trucks Follow Department of Transportation policy and procedures regarding Load Securement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and operation of a commercial vehicle Provide information for the completion of incident reports in relation to health and safety issues Accurately receive material and/or pick and ship orders Ensure all paperwork completed properly and documents maintained for shipping purposes Organize product efficiently and maintain inventories Pull products from yard and warehouse as required Organize space in the warehouse and perform cleaning duties General warehouse duties and maintenance as needed Restock materials as and when required Other duties as required SKILLS AND COMPETENCIE Effective communication skills Attention to detail/Accuracy Dependability Integrity Cooperation Adaptability/flexibility Initiative Creative problem solver Able to lift up to 50 lbs EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Minimum grade 12 education required Customer Service experience preferred Valid Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract Minimum AGE of 25 AS PER OUR INSURANCE COVERAGE WHY WORK FOR US Company paid benefits Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Profit sharing RRSP match Paid sick days Career growth #GIVEBACK Program – Volunteer Day Personal Milestone Recognition Program Perkopolis Partnership Safety shoe reimbursement Employee Referral Bonus Program Employee discounts on plumbing, electrical and heating products OUR MISSION Supplying the right solutions at the right time with our expert customer care throughout Western Canada.
