Delivery Driver, Warehouse Associate & Marketing Assistant
In Home FurnitureOverview We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our team at In Home Furniture and Villa Cedar. This position combines furniture deliveries, cedar and building material deliveries, warehouse maintenance, showroom assistance, and marketing support for our cedar business. The ideal candidate is organized, physically capable of handling furniture and building materials, comfortable operating a forklift, has a valid driver's license, and is able to communicate in both English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities1. Furniture Delivery & Customer Service Deliver furniture to customers safely, professionally, and on schedule. Load and unload furniture while protecting merchandise and customers' homes. Assist with furniture assembly and placement when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional delivery vehicle. Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with customers. 2. Cedar & Building Material Deliveries Deliver cedar lumber, fencing materials, and other building supplies to customers and job sites. Load, unload, and secure building materials safely. Verify delivery orders and ensure customers receive the correct materials. Assist customers and contractors with loading materials at the warehouse when needed. 3. Warehouse Maintenance & Organization Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and lumber yard. Organize cedar, lumber, fencing materials, hardware, and other building supplies. Assist with receiving, unloading, stocking, and moving inventory. Operate a forklift to move materials and assist with loading and unloading trucks. Help monitor inventory and report damaged, missing, or low-stock items. Maintain a clean work area and follow all warehouse safety procedures. 4. Furniture Showroom Assistance Keep the furniture showroom clean, organized, and presentable. Assist with moving furniture, rearranging displays, and maintaining product presentation. Help receive and move incoming furniture inventory. Assist the store team with general tasks as assigned. 5. Villa Cedar Marketing Support Assist with marketing activities to promote Villa Cedar and its products. Take pictures and videos of lumber, fencing materials, completed projects, and customer orders. Help create social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. Assist with showcasing contractor projects and promoting Villa Cedar to local contractors. Help maintain a professional image of the company online and in the community. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license and a responsible driving record. Ability to operate a forklift safely and demonstrate proper operating skills. Ability to speak Spanish and communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking customers and coworkers. Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and building materials safely, with assistance or equipment when necessary. Dependable, punctual, organized, and willing to learn. Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude. Willingness to work Saturdays and perform a variety of duties. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Work Schedule Full-time position: 40 hours per week. Saturdays are part of the regular work schedule. Schedule will be determined by management based on business needs. Compensation & Growth Opportunities Starting wage: $15.50 per hour. 90-day growth opportunity: Earn up to $18.00 per hour based on performance, reliability, safety, initiative, and overall job performance.
