DELIVERY Driver Wanted

Tom's Foreign Auto Parts has an immediate opening for an evening driver. We are looking for a driver to run a fixed daily route between Waterbury CT and Worcester MA every day. Our hub driver must load the truck, verify the parts on the truck and then run the route to Worcester. In Worcester, the driver will unload and reload the truck and then return to Waterbury. This run is done with a dually box truck (no air brakes). The hours for the run are Noon - 8PM Monday - Friday. More hours could be available to those that are open to helping with other routes or in the warehouse. Candidates must be able to obtain a DOT medical card Duties: - Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers - Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries - Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as a pallet jack or forklift - Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or documentation - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks Skills: - Strong customer service skills to interact with customers in a professional manner - Ability to operate equipment such as a pallet jack or forklift for loading and unloading purposes - Physical fitness and ability to perform heavy lifting as required - Familiarity with large box trucks and delivery vans Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Work Days: Monday to Friday People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Shift availability: Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
