Main Ingredients of the Job:
• Conduct engaging classroom onboarding sessions for new drivers.
• Be an active participant in the Safety Performance Team, ensuring safety remains a top priority.
• Train and mentor new drivers on company policies and procedures, monitoring their compliance and performance.
• Perform customer site visits to assess delivery feasibility.
• Collaborate with Night Warehouse Supervisors on safety measures and visual aids/demonstrations.
• Conduct post-accident ride-alongs to help identify root causes and facilitate necessary re-training.
• Participate in offsite training and developmental opportunities.
• Complete all company-mandated training and assessments, including the US Foods Driver Onboarding program.
• Safely drive trucks to customer locations, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Unload products with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, placing items in designated storage areas.
• Verify the accuracy of deliveries with customers and secure necessary signatures.
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the client experience.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repeatedly throughout each shift.
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
What You Bring to the Table:
• Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Possession of a valid CDL Class A issued by your state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience or three months in food and/or beverage delivery.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English, understanding highway traffic signs and signals.
