Delivery Driver - Stakebed Truck

Job Description DTM Transport is a job site delivery company. The company is growing and looking for an additional driver to join its hard working team of delivery gurus. The job of delivery driver is physically demanding and mentally challenging. It requires a positive attitude, calm temperament, and a high degree of independence. We operate 20ft and 26ft company-owned custom-made stake bed trucks. Drivers are expected to safely load, transport, and unload large and heavy material to job sites and warehouses throughout Southern California. Our yard is located in Kearny Mesa CA (92123). Must be available to start as early as 2AM and work 12+ hours per day if needed. Drivers can work 50 or more hours per week Mon – Fri. Driving schedule and hours vary greatly and require a lot of flexibility. Daily driving times and assignments are sent out evening prior and fluctuate widely. Up to 2 weeks of training may be required. Hourly rate during training is $25.00 and increases to $27.50 when driver can operate independently and complete routes and deliveries unassisted. DTM provides drivers with company branded uniforms and PPE gear including T-shirts, Hat, Sweatshirt, Safety Vest, Hardhat, & Gloves. Drivers are required to wear steel-toed shoes and long pants. Drivers must have a Class C Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record – No Points. DTM delivers to military bases - clean criminal record with no felonies is required. Responsibilities Operate stake bed trucks safely and efficiently. Load and unload material using liftgates, pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling. Ensure all deliveries are made on time while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of items delivered and any discrepancies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Experience 1+ years of experience operating flatbed, stake bed, or box trucks reccomended Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with operating stake bed trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
