Delivery Driver/Service Technician

We're currently seeking a qualified Service and Delivery Technicians for sites in and around the Charlottesville/Orange area. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for operating and maintaining a service truck and driving to various locations to service portable restrooms, holding tanks, and trailers - mechanical aptitude is a plus. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections on your assigned vehicle. Safely operate service truck on designated route to work sites. Maintain contact with dispatch to receive additional instructions or changes to workday, etc. Service portable restrooms, holding tanks, sinks, trailers etc., located at work sites by following the Company’s route driver guidelines. Stock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in all units being serviced. Clean interior and exterior of units per APT service protocols. Follow all established safety rules & regulations. Communicate professionally with customers and job superintendents to ensure service level meets, or exceeds, their expectations. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: HS Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one-year commercial vehicle driving experience, Class A or B CDL, or one-year truck driving experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. · The employee frequently is required to stand and walk, sometimes long distances. · The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. · The employee may occasionally also stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision & ability to focus.
