Altera PharmacyJob Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and personable Delivery Driver & Packager to join our logistics team. In this dual-role, you will spend a portion of your shift preparing, wrapping, and securely packaging medicines and medical items for transit, and the other portion loading your vehicle and executing safe, timely local deliveries (within a 10-mile radius). The ideal candidate is an efficient multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritizes exceptional customer satisfaction. You will also obtain a Pharmacy Trainee designation, which will help allow you to jump start your career in Pharmacy! Key Responsibilities Pharmacy Packaging: Match prescriptions with delivery receipts to ensure accuracy. Package orders securely using climatecontrolled containers where necessary (e.g., coldchain items like insulin). Inspect and verify product orders against invoice slips to ensure order accuracy before packaging. Pack, wrap, and seal items securely using appropriate materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape) to prevent damage during transit. Label packages accurately with shipping destinations, pharmacy labels, and special handling instructions (e.g., "Fragile"). Maintain a clean workspace and track packaging inventory levels. Delivery & Patient Care: Map out efficient local routes, drive safely, and deliver prescriptions directly to homes or facilities with empathy. Capture legally required patient signatures or copayments via mobile delivery applications. Safely load and organize packages into your vehicle to maximize efficiency and protect cargo. Operate your vehicle safely, strictly adhering to all local traffic laws, speed limits, and defensive driving practices. Navigate delivery routes efficiently using GPS tools to meet scheduled delivery windows. Provide excellent customer service at delivery dropoffs, obtaining signatures or photo confirmations from patients where required. Capture legally required patient signatures or copayments via mobile delivery applications. Qualifications & Requirements Age & Licensing: Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid, unrestricted Texas driver's license. Driving Record: Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) with no major recent violations. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, push, and slide packages weighing up to 40 lbs. frequently (and heavier items with team/equipment assistance). Stamina: Ability to safely enter and exit a vehicle repeatedly throughout a shift. Skills: Excellent time management, navigation skills via smartphone apps, and strong communication capabilities with management and coworkers. Background Check: Must pass a standard background check and drug screening. Reliable Transportation: Must possess a vehicle and maintain proper periodic inspections and maintenance as required by vehicle manufacturer. Insurance: Must posses uptodate and sufficient Insurance coverage. Pharmacy Technician Trainee Must obtain Trainee certification within 90days, as required by TSBP (We will help provide you the necessary support and resources in obtaining this!)
