Delivery Driver - owner/operator

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Delivery Driver - Owner/Operator to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering medical equipment to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate service. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of handling deliveries that require lifting at least 50 pounds and will operate their own cargo van to meet the company's delivery needs. This position offers the flexibility and independence of an owner/operator role while contributing to essential healthcare services. Responsibilities Usually less than 10 stops per route per day Safely operate your own cargo/sprinter van to deliver medical equipment to clients in a timely manner. Load, unload, and handle medical equipment, ensuring proper care during transportation. Lift and carry items weighing at least 50 pounds as part of daily delivery tasks. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during deliveries. Manage delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Own a reliable cargo/sprinter van suitable for transporting medical equipment. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Prior experience in delivery or transportation is preferred but not mandatory. Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to providing excellent service.
