Job Overview As a Delivery Driver or Delivery Helper, you’ll help move orders safely from the warehouse to customers. Drivers operate a van or box truck, follow assigned routes, and provide courteous service at each stop. Helpers support delivery driving by preparing, loading, unloading, and moving items. This hands-on role suits candidates who value safe work, teamwork, and dependable customer service. Responsibilities Load and unload orders, secure items for transport, and verify deliveries using mobile devices. Drive assigned routes, follow traffic regulations and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, and communicate delivery updates. Assist customers at delivery locations and handle items with care. Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as trained; follow safe lifting practices and workplace weight-handling procedures. Keep vehicles and delivery areas organized, and support daily warehouse operations. Requirements Ability to perform manual handling, moving, and heavy lifting safely. Driving experience; delivery driver, courier, van driver, or route driving experience is helpful. Warehouse experience, including warehouse operations and load-and-unload duties, is preferred. Commercial driving, commercial truck driving, box truck, personal vehicle delivery, and manual transmission experience are useful, depending on the assigned vehicle. Familiarity with material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, and mobile devices is an asset.
