Job Title: Delivery Driver Location: Toledo, OH Pay: $20.50/hour + Shift Hours: Range from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. About the Role As a Delivery Driver, you are the face of AL Peake & Sons Food Service. You will drive our company trucks along established routes to deliver quality products to our customers safely, efficiently, and with a smile. Your professionalism and customer-focused attitude are essential in creating and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Deliver customer orders promptly while maintaining delivery schedules. Unload products using a hand cart or manually and place them in designated storage areas. Verify delivery accuracy with invoices and obtain necessary signatures. Collect payments (cash or checks) when required and document details. Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment. Use a tablet to navigate routes and update delivery details in real-time. Record and document returns or discrepancies, including taking photos. Pick up and transport backhauls as scheduled. Communicate effectively with customers and respond to inquiries positively. Ensure the load is stable, secured, and all truck doors are properly closed during transit. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Assist with special projects and additional tasks as needed. Promote a positive, team-oriented attitude at all times. What We’re Looking For Experience: 2+ years in customer support and box truck driving (required); 1+ year of food handling and commercial driving (preferred). Physical Capability: Able to perform repeated manual heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds and consistently lift an average of 35 pounds. Must have the ability to handle an average of 250 to 450 packages per delivery truck per day, bend, twist, and climb into trucks regularly. Adaptability: Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, heat, and cold. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for customer interactions. License: Valid driver’s license (required). Reliability: Must be willing to undergo a pre-hire drug screen and background check. Work Schedule Shift Hours: Range from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Expected Hours: 32-45 hours per week. (Guaranteed of 32 hours per week) Work Location Start your day at our headquarters: 4949 Stickney Ave, Toledo, OH. From there, complete your deliveries and return to the shop at the end of your shift.
