Delivery Driver – Independent Contractor (1099) DeJesus Logistics LLC – Rochester, NY DeJesus Logistics LLC is looking for reliable, hardworking Delivery Drivers to join our growing delivery operation. We provide last-mile package delivery services and operate under a delivery contract that requires us to service routes 7 days a week, approximately 360 days per year. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity. Drivers will use their own vehicle and smartphone to complete deliveries. How You Get Paid Paid per package delivered Compensation is based on the number of packages successfully delivered Additional compensation may apply for multiple packages going to the same stop The more packages you successfully complete, the more you can earn This is not an hourly position As a 1099 independent contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes and business-related expenses What You Need Drivers are required to provide: Your own reliable vehicle Your own smartphone with reliable service/data Valid driver’s license Valid auto insurance Ability to safely transport and deliver packages Ability to use a delivery app, GPS/navigation, and smartphone A dependable and professional work approach Job Responsibilities As a Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include: Arrive at the warehouse on time for your assigned route Check in and receive your packages Scan and organize packages before leaving Load your vehicle safely and efficiently Follow the delivery route provided through the delivery app Deliver packages to residential and business customers Follow all delivery instructions Take clear and accurate proof-of-delivery photos when required Properly report packages that cannot be delivered Communicate with dispatch regarding route issues or delivery problems Maintain accurate delivery records Follow customer, warehouse, and delivery requirements Complete your assigned route safely and efficiently Schedule and Attendance Our operation runs 7 days a week, approximately 360 days per year, so weekend availability is important. Drivers should expect: Early morning warehouse check-in Check-in begins around 6:00 AM Drivers must be ready to work and prepared for their route by the required check-in time Routes may vary in package volume and completion time Weekend availability is required for many positions Reliable attendance and punctuality are extremely important Drivers must communicate with dispatch if they have an issue or emergency What We’re Looking For We are looking for people who are: Reliable and dependable Punctual Comfortable working independently Able to work in a fast-paced environment Good at communicating Comfortable using a smartphone and GPS Physically capable of repeatedly getting in and out of a vehicle and carrying packages Willing to work weekends Safety-conscious Customer-service oriented Motivated to complete their routes efficiently Opportunity to Grow We are a growing local logistics company. During busy and peak seasons, additional drivers may also be needed. Important Information This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position, not a W-2 employee position. Drivers provide their own vehicle, smartphone, fuel, and other ordinary operating expenses associated with working as an independent contractor. Compensation is based on packages delivered rather than an hourly wage.
