Duties Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary Support the driver in route driving by helping to organize deliveries for efficiency and adherence to traffic regulations Help carry goods safely from the vehicle to customer locations, practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques Ensure all items are properly secured during transport and unloaded carefully at each destination Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs and route sheets, using mobile devices or other digital tools Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company safety policies during loading, transit, and unloading processes Communicate effectively with drivers and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly Skills Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly desirable Experience with commercial driving, box trucks, vans, or courier services enhances your ability to succeed in this role Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and safe driving practices is essential Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks safely and efficiently Strong physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving items throughout the workday Excellent customer service skills to represent the company professionally during deliveries Adherence to traffic regulations, DOT guidelines, and safe lifting practices at all times Comfort using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmation, and communication This position is perfect for individuals eager to develop their driving skills while supporting a team committed to delivering excellence.
