Delivery Driver / Forklift Operator

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator/Driver to support daily warehouse, loading, unloading, and transportation operations. This position is responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, loading and unloading freight, securing cargo, and driving company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate inventory and delivery records. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload trailers, trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles. Move, stage, stack, and organize materials, products, pallets, and freight in designated areas. Drive company-owned or assigned non-CDL vehicles to transport materials, products, and equipment to designated locations. Perform local deliveries, pickups, and transfers as assigned. Inspect vehicles and forklifts before use and report any mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns. Secure and protect cargo to prevent shifting, damage, or loss during transportation. Verify product quantities, delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and shipping documents for accuracy. Assist with receiving, shipping, inventory control, and warehouse organization. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, traffic laws, and applicable transportation regulations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse personnel, customers, and delivery recipients. Complete daily vehicle inspection reports, delivery logs, and other required documentation. Perform additional warehouse, material-handling, and operational duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous forklift operation and driving experience preferred. Valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle. Acceptable driving record in accordance with company requirements. Ability to operate a forklift safely; current forklift certification or documented training preferred, as applicable. Ability to read and understand shipping documents, work instructions, and safety procedures. Basic communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Must meet applicable company, insurance, and regulatory requirements for operating company vehicles. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, when required by the position. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to enter and exit trucks and operate warehouse equipment safely. Ability to work in a warehouse, yard, loading dock, or outdoor environment as required. Ability to work in varying weather conditions when performing outdoor duties. Safety Responsibilities Conduct required pre-use inspections of forklifts and assigned vehicles. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain awareness of pedestrians, equipment, vehicles, and other workplace hazards. Never operate equipment or vehicles while impaired, fatigued to an unsafe degree, or otherwise unfit for duty. Immediately report accidents, injuries, near misses, damaged products, and unsafe conditions.
