Delivery Driver/Food Prep

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Central Delivery Driver & Food Prep to join our dynamic team in a kitchen prep environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution at our central location, ensuring that products are loaded and unloaded safely, accurately and on a timely manner. This position requires a strong attention to detail, "rules of the road" knowledge, ability to operate a van and heavy lifting no more then 50lbs repetitively. Duties Safely load and unload materials from van. Operate a company van. Ensure that all items are handled with care to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of shipments received and dispatched using packing slips for each of our 3 locations. Collaborate with Commissary Manager to optimize workflow and improve efficiency within our distribution center. Conduct routine inspections of the company van to ensure safe operation and promptly report any maintenance or fixes it may need. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the kitchen prep environment and at our 3 restaurant locations. Prep food by following recipes to make sauces, cutting veggies, measuring by ounces/pounds and any other food prep the Commissary Manager may need. Experience Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations is preferred. Familiarity with packing slips, invoices or checklists. Mechanical knowledge related to keeping an eye on the company van. Experience working in a distribution center or similar warehouse setting will be advantageous. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Previous experience in a fine dinning restaurant doing prep or kitchen work. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license issued by the state where you intend to work Clean driving record Experience may be required or preferred Adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
