Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Deliver products to retail stores, commercial clients, and other designated locations with precision and professionalism. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules while adjusting for traffic or unforeseen delays. Engage with customers courteously, building positive relationships through clear communication and attentive service. Conduct merchandising activities at delivery sites, ensuring products are displayed properly and inventory is accurately documented. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging your sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Perform heavy lifting as needed, utilizing safe techniques to handle merchandise and ensure timely deliveries without injury. Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports in compliance with organizational standards and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status, delays, or issues that may arise during routes. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred. Familiarity with retail store operations, merchandising, and client relationship building enhances your effectiveness in this role. Strong math skills for calculating pricing adjustments or measurements during deliveries. Previous experience in sales or upselling demonstrates your ability to maximize customer interactions positively. Knowledge of DOT regulations ensures compliance with safety standards on the road. Excellent communication skills are essential for clear client communication and internal coordination.
