Delivery Driver

Duties Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, to deliver goods across designated routes. Load, unload, and secure merchandise using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and damage. Follow planned routes efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules. Communicate professionally with customers upon delivery, addressing inquiries and providing excellent service. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of shipments, mileage, and delivery times. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, safety standards, and company policies at all times. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, automobile transportation, and safe lifting practices. Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory counts. Proven ability to build positive customer relationships through excellent communication skills. Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during deliveries. Familiarity with DOT regulations, sales techniques, and client communication strategies.
