Delivery Driver

A pizza and food delivery driver is responsible for delivering hot food, sides, and beverages to customers while assisting with in-store operations during downtime. Job Overview Position Type: Full-time or Part-time Primary Goal: Pack, transport, and hand off orders fresh and piping hot while helping the kitchen team stay caught up. Reports To: Shift Supervisor / Store Manager Key Duties and Responsibilities Safe & Fast Delivery: Navigate local roads efficiently using GPS to ensure pizzas arrive fresh, hot, and within promised delivery windows. Order Quality Check: Verify that pizza boxes, side items (wings, breadsticks), dipping sauces, and drinks perfectly match the customer's receipt before leaving. Customer Service: Provide a friendly, polite experience at the customer's door, process payments (cash or card), and manage mobile receipt signatures. Cross-Functional In-Store Support: When there are no active deliveries, jump into kitchen and front-of-house tasks to keep the shop running smoothly: Folding pizza boxes and stocking the driver dispatch station. Prepping ingredients (slicing cheese, chopping toppings, preparing dough). Washing pans, dishes, and cleaning food prep areas. Answering phones, taking phone orders, and greeting walk-in pickup customers. Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain a clean, presentable, and reliable personal vehicle with a full tank of gas ready for shifts. Qualifications and Requirements License & History: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (few to no moving violations). Insurance: Proof of valid, up-to-date auto insurance coverage. Age Limit: Must be at least 18 years old (required by most commercial auto insurance policies). Tech-Savvy: Access to a smartphone with reliable internet for GPS mapping and delivery routing apps. Physical Demands: Ability to spend long periods driving, quickly walk up flights of stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs (such as heavy dough trays or bulk ingredient boxes). Work Location: In person
