Seasonal Firewood Delivery Contractor (1099) Location: Austin / Central Texas Position Type: Seasonal / Independent Contractor (1099) Equipment: Own Truck and/or Trailer Required Position Overview We are seeking qualified independent delivery contractors to support seasonal residential and commercial firewood deliveries throughout Central Texas. This opportunity is ideal for dependable individuals and owner-operators who own suitable trucks, trailers, and transportation equipment and are interested in earning additional income during the busy firewood season. Delivery opportunities are seasonal, with assignments based on customer demand, contractor availability, and equipment capabilities. Responsibilities Pick up firewood from designated loading locations. Safely transport and deliver firewood to residential and commercial customers. Load, secure, unload, and stack firewood when required. Verify delivery quantities and document completed assignments. Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers. Use smartphone-based tools for navigation, delivery instructions, and proof of delivery. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Own or have authorized use of a suitable pickup truck, flatbed truck, or truck-and-trailer combination. Maintain appropriate insurance covering commercial delivery operations. Ability to safely load, transport, and unload firewood. Proper equipment for securing loads during transportation. Smartphone with GPS and internet access. Dependable, professional, and safety-conscious. Equipment Requirements Applicants must provide information regarding their available transportation equipment, including: Vehicle year, make, and model. Truck type and payload capacity. Trailer type, dimensions, and rated load capacity, if applicable. Available loading and unloading equipment. Primary operating location and preferred delivery territory.
