Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise, often requiring heavy lifting and proper merchandising techniques. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions or concerns professionally to foster positive relationships. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in compliance with organizational procedures. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs promptly, and ensure vehicles are kept in excellent condition. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for accurate transactions and measurements. Excellent customer service and client communication skills to build lasting relationships. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Familiarity with retail store operations, merchandising, and upselling techniques. Knowledge of DOT regulations for commercial truck driving to ensure compliance at all times. Exceptional organizational skills for managing deliveries efficiently and maintaining detailed records. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers alike.
