SMART DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS Delivery Driver / Equipment Setup Technician / Operations Support Full-Time | Field, Warehouse & Customer-Site Support | Occasional Overnight Travel Smart Document Solutions is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined team member to support equipment delivery, machine setup, installations, warehouse operations, and day-to-day field support. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with equipment, solving problems, helping customers, and taking ownership of getting the job done correctly. Key Responsibilities · Deliver, move, and install copiers, printers, and related office equipment at customer locations. · Safely load, secure, transport, unload, and position equipment using proper tools and procedures. · Set up and prepare new and pre-owned equipment prior to delivery, including installing accessories and completing basic configuration. · Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and identify issues that require additional technical support. · Assist with basic network setup, including IP address configuration and connectivity, once trained. · Test equipment before and after installation to confirm proper operation and a professional customer handoff. · Remove, return, and stage customer equipment when required. · Maintain accurate delivery, installation, equipment, and inventory documentation. · Support warehouse operations, including receiving, equipment staging, shipping, inventory organization, and general housekeeping. · Maintain company vehicles, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and professional condition. · Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members regarding schedules, installation status, and any issues encountered. · Assist service technicians and operations staff with field projects and other operational needs as assigned. · Travel throughout the service area as required; occasional overnight stays are part of the position. Required Qualifications · Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. · Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work confidently with mechanical components. · Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability. · Comfortable using hand tools and basic mechanical/electrical testing equipment. · Ability to safely move and handle large office equipment using appropriate moving equipment and procedures. · Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. · Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently while also supporting a team. · Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and a customer-service mindset. · Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, email, and basic business applications. · Willingness to learn new equipment, software, technical processes, and company procedures. · Flexibility to support deliveries, warehouse operations, equipment setup, and field support based on business needs. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, especially experience involving: · Copiers, printers, or office equipment · Equipment delivery and installation · Copier/printer setup, repair, or field service · Mechanical, electrical, appliance, vending, or equipment repair · Warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations · Basic IT or network troubleshooting Current experience in a delivery, equipment setup, field service, or operations support position is highly preferred.
