Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Execute route driving efficiently, managing delivery schedules while maintaining flexibility for unexpected changes. Load and unload merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring safety and product integrity. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions and building rapport to foster customer satisfaction. Conduct merchandising activities at retail stores, ensuring products are well-presented and inventory is accurately maintained. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, utilizing strong sales skills to enhance customer experience. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and organizational records for compliance and efficiency purposes. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a solid understanding of route planning and delivery procedures. Familiarity with retail store environments and merchandising practices is preferred. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and basic accounting tasks. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, route coordination, and team collaboration. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following all safety protocols. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving and transportation safety standards. Prior experience in sales or upselling is a plus, demonstrating the ability to build customer relationships effectively.
