Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, utilizing organizational skills to optimize time management. Load and unload merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring the safety of yourself and others. Deliver products directly to customers’ locations while providing exceptional customer service and building positive client relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance needs are addressed promptly. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for accountability and reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries smoothly and resolve any issues promptly. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred. Retail store experience or familiarity with merchandising enhances your ability to handle product loads efficiently. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management. Proven customer relationship building skills with excellent communication abilities. Knowledge of DOT regulations ensures compliance with safety standards during all driving activities. Experience in sales or upselling techniques helps maximize revenue opportunities during deliveries. Demonstrated organizational skills for managing routes, schedules, and delivery documentation effectively.
