Job Description – Delivery Driver/Order Fulfillment This position is responsible to deliver Alaska Sausage and Seafood products in a professional and timely manner, representing our Company well and providing excellent customer service. The Delivery Driver reports to the Plant Manager. Duties - Operate a delivery vehicle safely and legally. - Make timely deliveries of Alaska Sausage and Seafood products to the greater Anchorage area, Eagle River, and the MatSu Valley. - Properly manage, retain, and deliver invoices and other records. - Represent the Company in a professional manner. - Report customer concerns. - Manage a company assigned vehicle: keep it fueled and cleaned. Report maintenance issues to supervisors. - Manage the delivery route and stay on schedule - Able to start work as early as 6 am and no later than 8 am. Start times may be variable depending on delivery loads for the week/time of year. - Available for overtime as required, usually during the months of July - December. - Transfer wholesale pallets to and from the Alaska Sausage Co. production plant and order fulfillment warehouse. - Verify the accuracy of sales order fulfillment. Record shipment production lots. - Other duties as assigned (custom game/fish shipping, custom game/fish check ins) - Delivery experience preferred Requirements - Valid driver’s license required - Clean driving record - Must be able to lift 50 plus lb. boxes - Able to communicate verbally in English; proficient at basic math - Obtain medical card from a completed DOT physical for operation of company box truck (Cost covered by Company.) - Obtain forklift certification. (Training may be provided by Company after hire.)
