Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury. Engage with customers professionally, providing excellent customer service and building strong client relationships. Conduct accurate pricing calculations, upselling products when appropriate to enhance sales opportunities. Maintain organized records of deliveries, route logs, and client communications for accountability and efficiency. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery services, preferably within retail or wholesale environments. Knowledge of route driving, merchandising, and automobile transportation best practices. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic inventory management, and sales transactions. Demonstrated ability in customer relationship building through effective communication skills. Familiarity with DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and organizational skills for managing multiple deliveries efficiently. Prior retail store experience or similar roles that involve client interaction is a plus. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
