Delivery Driver - Class B
Goshen StampingPosition Summary The CDL Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting steel, raw materials, finished products, tooling, and other freight between our facility, customers, suppliers, and processors. This position is responsible for safe vehicle operation, proper load securement, accurate documentation, and compliance with applicable DOT and company safety requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate company truck. Pick up and deliver steel coils, raw materials, finished parts, tooling, dies, and other manufacturing freight. Properly secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and other approved equipment. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Verify loads against bills of lading, packing slips, and delivery paperwork. Report vehicle issues, damaged freight, delivery problems, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain required driving, inspection, and delivery documentation. Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned equipment. Follow all company, customer, DOT, and applicable federal and state safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid Class B CDL appropriate for the equipment operated. Valid DOT medical qualification. Acceptable driving record based on company and insurance requirements. Knowledge of commercial vehicle and load securement practices. Ability to safely handle chains, binders, straps, and other securement equipment. Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently. Previous manufacturing, steel hauling, flatbed, or Conestoga experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Ability to frequently enter and exit truck. Ability to bend, climb, reach, push, pull, and perform required vehicle and load inspections. Ability to safely handle load securement equipment. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and within an industrial manufacturing environment. Safety The CDL Driver is responsible for operating company vehicles safely, properly securing all loads, following company safety procedures, wearing required PPE, and complying with applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements.
