Job description Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage loading and unloading processes effectively. The Truck Driver will operate refrigerated trailers while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Duties Safely operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and cargo documentation. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding any issues or delays during transport. Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated. Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving principles. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively. Experience with refrigerated trailers is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo handling. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
