Position Summary As a Delivery Driver , you'll help keep our builder customers' projects moving by safely delivering lumber and specialty building materials throughout Northern Michigan. You'll operate a variety of delivery vehicles, handle materials with care, and provide great service at every stop. This is a hands-on, local driving position for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is willing to pitch in wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other vehicles as licensed and qualified Load, secure, transport, and unload building materials at customer jobsites Verify orders for accuracy and complete delivery documentation Provide professional, courteous service and communicate with customers and dispatch Assist with preparing loads, serving yard customers, and supporting other yard operations as needed Perform vehicle inspections and follow safe driving and material handling practices What We Offer Work-Life Balance: Monday–Friday schedule, home every night Competitive Pay: Hourly wages + potential overtime Career Growth: Ongoing training and development Team Culture: Supportive, improvement-focused environment Product discount program Profit sharing Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match 2 weeks paid time off (after 90 days), 3 weeks upon your first anniversary 6 paid holidays Annual apparel and boot allowances What We’re Looking For Valid Michigan Chauffeur's License (minimum requirement) and a safe driving record Dependable, flexible, and committed to safe work practices Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and handling building materials Comfortable working outdoors and navigating active construction sites Delivery driving or building materials experience preferred High school diploma or GED Apply today and become part of the Preston Feather team.
