Delivery Driver
Independent Contractor with FedexRole Description: The Delivery Driver role at FedEx in Lewisberry, PA is a full-time, on-site position responsible for safely transporting, delivering, and picking up packages to residential and business customers. Each day the driver operates company vehicles in compliance with safety and traffic regulations while following established routes and schedules. This role involves verifying delivery and pickup information, obtaining signatures when required, and giving proof of delivery with the camera on the scanner. Drivers interact with customers regularly, providing courteous and efficient service, responding to questions, and resolving basic delivery issues. The position also requires performing routine vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs, reporting any incidents, and adhering to FedEx policies and performance standards. (Note that this role is working for an independent contractor with Fedex, but you must still follow Fedex policies and procedures.) Qualifications: * Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and provide a positive delivery experience. * Reliable time management skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and compliance procedures. * Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weights (up to 150 Ib - handcarts provided). * Ability to work on feet for extended periods. * Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather. * Willingness to work as part of a team. * Must be willing to work between the hours of 8am-6pm. * Must be willing to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening (drug screening must be done before hiring and afterwards is done randomly). * Must be 21+ years old. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Prior delivery, logistics, or warehouse experience is an advantage, but not required. Benefits: * Pay is between $125-$200 a day (pay is based on experience, route, stops per day, and safety). * One week paid vacation after 6 months of work and an additional week paid vacation after 12 months . * Uniforms are provided. * Use of company truck and scanner during the work day. * Training and ongoing coaching provided.
