Delivery DriverJob Overview We are looking for dependable, safety-focused Delivery Drivers to join our team. As a Delivery Driver for an independent Service Provider contracted with FedEx Ground, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to residential and business customers within an assigned service area. This is a fast-paced, active position that requires strong time management, safe driving habits, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently throughout the day. Drivers are expected to provide professional and courteous service while completing their assigned route safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle while following all company, DOT, and traffic safety requirements. Complete residential and commercial package deliveries within an assigned service area. Load, organize, transport, and deliver packages safely and efficiently. Follow the assigned route and make adjustments when necessary to complete deliveries successfully. Use a handheld delivery device to scan packages, record deliveries, and follow delivery instructions. Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and businesses. Follow proper package-handling and lifting procedures. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report vehicle damage, mechanical concerns, accidents, injuries, or safety issues immediately. Maintain communication with management throughout the workday when assistance or route adjustments are needed. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, service standards, and delivery requirements. Maintain reliable attendance and arrive prepared and on time for scheduled shifts. Requirements Must meet all applicable driver qualification requirements. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle. Must be able to pass a Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver packages throughout the workday. Comfortable entering and exiting a delivery vehicle frequently throughout the shift. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Dependable transportation to and from the workplace. Ability to follow GPS, route instructions, and delivery procedures. Must be able to successfully complete all required onboarding, training, and qualification processes.
